The Aerial tramway in Franconia Notch, New Hampshire, makes the ascent in less than eight minutes. Average skiers take twice that long to return, but experts sometimes achieve 60-mile speeds. These two men, with ski tips turned in as brakes, reduce speed by snowplowing.”
